GROUNDS
Volcán de Agua, Guatemala
Welcome to Wonder Grounds!
for 2024, I’m thrilled to share two very special roasted coffees with you all.
In December 2021, I had the opportunity to join a 5-day coffee tour trip with De La Gente team members & several coffee growers participating with their co-operatives.
I’m grateful to De La Gente for the opportunity to stay with a host family, to learn from the coffee growers on their fields, and to be welcomed into their homes for delicious meals & coffee.
We were provided with a truly immersive, unique experience in Guatemala. Fast forward several years, and with education at First Crack this past year, I am now roasting De La Gente coffee in Denver, Colorado!
De La Gente means "from the people" in Spanish.

About the two coffees on offer:
Coffee Growers of San Miguel Escobar
Antigua Coffee Growing Region
single-origin Washed Processed (medium roasted)
single-origin Natural Processed (light roasted)
Caturra, Catuai, Bourbon | 1,500-2,000 meters
Mainly, I selected these particular beans due to our experiences on Volcán de Agua, but also because of the incredible depth of flavor highlighted with bright notes of citrus fruit during my test roasts.
Antigua is one of the oldest coffee growing regions in the world. The volcanic soil is known to lend itself to a brighter, more acidic cup of coffee. I recommend drip, pour-over or French press for both the medium and light roasts.
